So far you have seen two articles from me concerning the Spinning Process; “Does Spinning Create Legitimate Content?” and “The Art of Spin”. Now we are going to jump straight into the fire so to speak and talk about the different techniques.
Here they are:
- Word Replacement
- Phrase Replacement
- Sentence Replacement
- Paragraph Replacement
I am going to explain each one and show the Pros and Cons because there are some issues you need to wrap your brain around. Remember, this is not rocket science but you definitely need to fully understand when to use and not use certain techniques. It is my underlying mission to keep the users attention on the resulting articles and not just create backlinks for the sake of creating backlinks.
You see, if we just spin out different variations of useless word jabber then when a visitor reads that, they will immediately want out. Visitors know when they are being spammed like that. Do you want them to click on your links or hit the Home button. My techniques are about reducing the Bounce Rate away from my websites. If a visitor is going to leave then I would rather they have a positive experience and not one where they are running to the off button.
Okay…back to business.
Word Replacement and Phrase Replacement
These two are the simplest of all of the techniques. Basically, this is the process of switching similar or related words with each other.
Here is the problem. These two techniques have given Spinning a bad name. Why? Because they have been abused in a big way. Look at this paragraph:
Have a minute? Good. Because that may be all it takes to save the life of a child—your child. Accidents kill nearly 8000 children under age 15 each year. And for every fatality, 42 more children are admitted to hospitals for treatment. Yet such deaths and injuries can be avoided through these easy steps parents can take right now. You don’t have a minute to lose.
Now! I ran that paragraph through one of my tools with the option wide open. Here just one result or spin.
Have a while? Satisfactory. For the reason that that can be all it takes out to unless the being alive of a teenager your little adolescent. Coincidences kill nearly 8000 children lower than time 15 each year. In addition to for the reason that every fatality, 42 numerous youngsters are admitted to hospitals since analysis. Likewise such deaths as well as injuries may be dodged done these simple steps parents can take at once. You don’t have a jiffy to lose.
Do you see the problem? Would you run from this? If you produced content like this then you would be assured to have a high Bounce Rate.
Now check this out. This took me 10 minutes to do.
Have a moment? Wonderful. Because that may be all it takes to hold on to the life of a youngster your off-spring. Accidents kill almost eight thousand young ones under the age of fifteen every twelve months. And for every death, forty two more children are taken to emergency rooms for treatment. Still, such fatalities and injuries can be avoided through these addressable steps parents can take right now. You don’t have a second to lose.
Not bad!
Here is the breakdown.
I did a comparison between this final paragraph and the original. The percent uniqueness was 50.25 which is pretty good. This just means I went through the time and effort to make sure that the resulting variations would make sense and sound okay.
Now I also do a comparison of the Bad one to the original. The results were 61.54% unique. (Just for fun I compared the bad copy with my last version; the uniqueness was 71.51%) While the stat itself is impressive it quickly loses value when you try to read through the words. In my opinion, that variation is not worth the risk.
Now Word Replacement can be directly related to Synonym Replacement in fact, they are the same to me. So what can we draw from these two comparisons? Well, the latter spin that I produced was much better than the first one but I still would not go that route.
Why? Because it is too tedious and there were some phrases that I could not resolve in a manner that satisfied me.
Now do not get me wrong. I currently do both of these processes but I apply them in different stages of my overall project.
This is getting kind of long so I will close by saying these two techniques are best applied as a supplemental process or an after thought. The reason is that these two complement the remaining two processes Sentence and Paragraph Replacements very well.
