You visited a few times and I would appreciate your thoughts on this post - why not comment?
It sure has taken me a while but I believe I have a pretty good handle of commanding certain keyword phrases.
Here is my list so use it to your own benefit.
- Write an original article based on a few keyword phrases and also mix in some LSI keywords. Definitely, you do not want it to sound spammy and you want it to read well. Use proper English and do not over-complicate it. Keep the words between 250-400.
- Create a long title. Now I am not suggesting a title that is a paragraph in length but you do not want one that is 3-4 words long. It will not get seen unless there is nothing else ahead of it.
- Day 1 – Post it to EZA (that’s Ezinearticles).
- Day 2 – I generally wait one day and then I publish it on my Blog. I use my primary keyword as the WP slug. Make sure your title is an exact match to what you posted on EZA. Do the other SEO stuff like bolding a couple of keyword phrases adding an image etc.
- Day 3 – At this point the article is almost to the point of being Live at EZA so you will want to make sure that you watch its progress from your EZA account. Read this carefully. I have about eleven Blogger Blogs. What I will do at this point is post this EXACT article to each of those blogs.
- As soon as the Article goes live at EZA I will take my feeds for my Blog and the other eleven Blogger Blogs and submit those to as many RSS services as I can. The goal here is to make sure that I am a step a head of the others publishers that might publish my article. Remember, Google is ONLY going to show so many of the duplicated articles so why not be in the Top 10 percent as many times as possible.
- I also add the content from that same article in a few of the Web 2.0 sites. In this step I cris-cross links by sending one to a blogger blog and one to my main Blog.
- I will then take the EXACT article and post to the other five big Article sites.
- Now here is where I venture to the dark side for a little bit. I have a few other blogs that I use for advance backlinking to my main article. Now I started doing a process that I dare not mention publicly but restassured that I will share it with my subscribers to my site. So if you want to see my secret way at generating additional backlinks from other sites/blogs that you own then subscribe today!
- During this entire period of time you should be watching yout Stats carefully. I watch and examine where the traffic is coming from. If one of my forum SIGs is getting a lot of hits from my posts then I will change the link it is pointing to and aim it at my EZA article. This way if there are a lot of people looking at your SIG and clicking it will be a Vote for the popularity within the EZA world. It does not have to be a forum SIG. What ever is getting you traffic just be aware that you maybe able to redirect it.
- Start Socializing. Initially focus on your Blog, then scatter the tweets to EZA, your Blogger Blogs. You might want to have a couple of Twitter accounts. I do not use an automated service for my socializing because I like doing it myself. You your method.
- If your article is a “How to” type article then post in it forums as well and request input. Just don’t spam the members with the content. Just have a legitimate SIG to whatever you want to point to.
So doing the normal SEO stuff along with my tactics allows me to do some pretty cool things.
Now I am not telling you anything new here except number 9. This is just a matter of staying focussed, following the checklist here and be aware of possible ways to exploit more backlinks/traffic.
One thing I will add here is this. Most newbies are all about speed, getting a quick turn around, and they even get tired of waiting for results. Sometimes it is best to wait, experiment, play around until you get a better understanding of what’s happening. I developed this by sitting on my rear end and waiting. Yes waiting. I played with several niches and just waited for about a year to see which of my articles were getting activity.
