Before you decide to go all out on List Building guess what? You need a plan because without one you will only generate a few leads if not develop a very slow growing list.
I have covered a couple topics about list building already but rest assure I do have a plan.
What I have started doing is quite simple. Do the development for everything regarding my list idea before I fire off the first promotional article.
The reason is simple. If you are perceived as having a good idea then you will want to make sure that you also give the impression that you are organized with your idea from beginning to end.
So here are my steps:
- Develop your product (eBook, Application or Website access).
- Make sure the product is sound with no apparent problems.
- Create some articles for publishing and promoting your product but don’t submit.
- Create a few emails for future scheduled broadcast with auto-responder.
- Build your product’s site presence.
- Add the Squeeze page and test the auto-responder process & add other emails.
- Test the process to ensure it works.
- Setup your scheduler to remind you to check your list for possible work.
- It’s time: Submit your articles
Results
As with anything you do online you should always stay on top of your stats. Know what works and abandon what does not work. Use your time effectively.
Well, in my case, here are my results using my own steps.
I posted one article here on EZA and waited for it to be published. I then published that article on several other article sites.
Twenty-four hours after going Live on EZA I had XXX opt-ins.
One week later I had a total of XXX opt-ins.
It would be arrogant of me to claim my method is better and I will not say that. But just understand that there are many ways to achieve success at List Building. You just need to think it through.
