Lesson 5 - Description
I will bet you did not know there were some many uses for Keywords and Keyword Phrases. Well, as logic goes, keywords are a very good thing to use as long as they are used correctly. It is like a gun. We all know the purpose and what it can do. In the wrong hands, like a child, it can be very destructive. So how do Keywords become a deadly force.
While Keywords are not truly deadly for us, they can be for a website. If we were to overly use our Keyword or Keyword Phrase then it could be considered spam for our website and that could keep our site banned in terms of Search Engines examining the site.

In this lesson we will look at the Website Description. This is not a HTML tag but rather a Meta tag. These are special tags that exist in the base code of the website. You will not see these on the face of the site but Search Engines will see this data. The image to the left of this paragraph has the meta tag underlined.
Chances are extremely high that you have seen Meta tag information as it relates to Descriptions. Perform a Google search on anything. The sites that show up have a “Description” that gives us a brief synopsis of the site. It is that data that we will be working with in this lesson.
Did you notice from your Google results some text was bolded? Was that the text that you searched for? Well that was probably the Keywords as defined by the website.
So we must now examine our Meta Description and probably modify ours with our Keyword Phrase. Remember do not overly use the phrase. I know I sound like I am beating this spamming thing to death but trust me getting banned in this manner would not be a good thing.
Stay tuned for all of my 8 lessons and I will show in a very detailed manner how I came from the deep vastness of the Internet to the Top 10 for my Keyword Phrase. You may also visit my website where my lessons here include images to better describe the alterations that I have performed.
