You visited a few times and I would appreciate your thoughts on this post - why not comment?
I have this client that has a very successful company. They have been in business for over7-8 years to my knowledge. At any rate, they asked me to try and improve their rankings in Google for a particular keyword.
After much research, thought and more research I determined that I would just make changes to their web pages filename (make it the keyword) and add the know components to the rest of that page. Such as Title, H1 tag, Bolded the keyword and even added an image with the Alt tag.
After a couple of weeks, the site popped up in the Top 5 and they was thrilled. Afterwards, they recommended me to a couple of other businesses.
A couple of weeks ago, they asked me to see what I could do to have the same effect on two other keyword phrases. I said certainly.
Now I have a network of about 15 blogs. I added a single Text link to each of those blogs with a different keyword phrase; the original and the two new phrases.
Today, “1-20-2009″, the original has popped to the #2 position from #5, and the other two are in the #8 and #9 respectively.
Now I am going to notch it up and do some serious backlinking over time to push all of these phrases to the #1 position.
What will I do?
