I absolutely do not recommend anyone do this. You can very well land in jail. So reader beware!
I can be the poster boy for doing dumb things and this has got to be one of them.
One weekend night back when i was in high school my best friend and I were looking for something to do. We didn’t have computer games back then so we were left with thinking of stuff to do in a more creative fashion.
As it turns out, my house was near a medium size lake and there was a dam that helped to form the lake. I guess it was more or less a spillway of sorts. There was this bridge that sat on top of it so the water that overflowed would not hamper the regular traffic.
On this particular night my friend and I decided we would take some water balloons and throw them at cars as they passed over the on the bridge.
I can say that this was not the first time we had done this. we had great laughs at doing this but on this particular night we were almost arrested.
[EDIT - This was not the first time we had done this. On another occasion we water bombed some high school football players. That was a close call too!]
We didn’t hurt anyone but I guess we could have damaged the inside of some cars. But then again it was just water.
Well, we had successfully hit a couple cars and we were waiting on our next victim and then we saw the headlights.
It came around the corner and we launched our attack. The car immediately slammed on brakes and the police lights came on. We ran like crazy.
Yes, we water ballooned a cop car!
How many people can you claim that and lived to tell about it?
I honestly do not know if he chased us but there was no way he was going to take us alive.

Okay. Maybe I should of learned my lesson from the cop but I guess I didn’t.
I few weeks later we were out again water ballooning cars from the exact same spot.
So we thought we would be a lot smarter and get a better image of what type of car was passing over.
A car starts to get closer. Well, it didn’t take long to figure out that cops don’t use VW Bugs so we got ourselves ready. The balloons are in the air.
The car slams on brakes. And then we hear voices. We did recognize it. It was the captain of the football team and it turns out he had three of the defensive linemen in the car with him.
It was evident they were out for blood. Did I hear someone say “Why?”
The reason they were so mad was because we soaked them all. The VW Bug was a convertible model and it was down.
Did they catch us? Did the cop catch us? There is not a football player on the planet we can’t out run if we are scared enough. LOL
