Being Buddy

by Buddy on December 30, 2009 · 2 comments

I was wondering about things in life as well as pondering my last 3 years in the internet marketing world and suddenly hit me that my own blog wreaked big time.  It was not kept up and looked like a third world countries lesser developed counties.

So I decided to do a complete makeover as well as change the intent.

After doing some keyword researching I decided to examine my own name “Buddy”.

It was interesting to see that my nickname is searched in the millions.  I also found some other deviations that I thought applied to me.  Now being a good student of IM I did a little more research and I concluded that I can win some of this traffic if not corner the Top #1 spot for Buddy.

After all.  My domain is not new.  I certainly have relevant content now I will embark on the quest to win the Top spot.

I will have to address how I will compete against a dead guy; Buddy Holly.  Yeah, he is near the top.  To my advantage I can certainly build up more backlinks than him.  But we shall see.

As for my full name, I have that number one spot but I am not nearly as famous as him.

So we will see just how far I can go from not showing in the SERPs for “Buddy” to how high my bounce can be and how long can it last.

So if you want to help me then please feel free to add me to your Blogroll as “Buddy” and just point to my domain name.

As far as monetization is concerned, I guess I will leave that up to Time.

So please,  if I have hit a spot with you then please subscribe to my site.  Your comments are always welcomed!  If you can then I would greatly appreciate a Re-Tweet.

Finally, right below this sentence you will see a “Like” link.  Just click on it if you find my goal interesting.

Hey Buddy. Your blog is looking great! What a facelift. All the best for the New Year and the demise of Mr Holly’s prime Google position.

Thanks David. I still have some work to do on the colors of some of the special comment type boxes but I will get there.
