Have you ever said something out loud only to regret it passing your lips? Are you like me and make a statement as soon as something happens; and it was a bad thing to say?
That has been my curse in my life. At least I view as such.
Why? Well, the phrase “Look before you Leap” always comes back to haunt me as well as “Did you even think about that?”
What I have figured out in this ever so changing Internet Marketing biz is that people are more deceptive. Maybe this view has a tint of Rose to it but I do believe it nonetheless.
So if it seems that I am beating around an issue then you are right. I am.
Recently, I purchased a technique by a very well known marketer and I jumped on it like no body’s business. It was before Christmas and the report stated that “Action” was essential. To date, the Blogger Blogs are indexed but they do not even show up in the Top 1,000 sites in Google.
Now I know enough about IM that it does take a certain amount of knowledge, work, hard work and luck. But playing off that “Luck” part is not good business.
I get the feeling there is a level of deception. As if I am not being told the whole picture. I have NO PROOF to back that feeling up. It’s just a feeling.
Before you discount my feeling let me at least share with my Track Record.
I am a former Internal Auditor of a bank. I performed Technical Audits of computer systems, PCs, Networks, mini-computers, and mainframes. My sole function was Security.
Now, before this job, I was a computer room operator while I was in college. I had been doing that job for 13 years so I knew quite a bit about mainframe security. I am not a newbie in that arena.
As I started looking at code and security setups I began to see and determine motives behind what I saw. That is when I started following my feelings, hunches or best guesses. As it turns out.
I was right.
So my feelings have not let me down. My rate of success with my hunches are around 90%.
Being honest here, my hunches are running rampant most of the time. When I am reading many Sales Copy and sometimes after I buy a product.
But that is not to say all in this business are corrupt.
I have met many people who take the shirt off their back to help others. But to those that sell something without that “Secret Sauce”. That is wrong!
For those that run a service that benefits themselves at the expense of Newbies ignorance then you are probably called a great business person. Just know that with that position comes responsibility and when you are asked direct questions.
Honesty should be given in the answer.
The Plain & Simple Truth is this. We all want a better life than what we have and especially in this terrible economy. So being dealt with in a honest way will allow for more profits to come your way.
Newbies. Do not expect this stuff to fall in your lap. It does take hard work. You do have to commit. ANd nothing is Free. And yes, there are Risks.
But if you think the world is revolving around you then think again.
Exercise your Discernment and be Responsible. And that is for all of us.
