As old as the title of this post is I felt it was appropriate for what I do and that’s how I “Earn Extra Cash”.
Back in the day (my younger days), I was always helping my friends and co-workers fix their computer problems. I was offered money but I felt I was being more of a friend than some consultant extending my hand out for some kind of payment.
That is why I felt like being a Genuine Buddy was more important than trying to pull money out of my friends wallets.
Now like many people I had my share of part-time weekend jobs; Like working in a department store, delivering newspapers, and ultimately performing security audits for a friends consulting business. While that did fill a temporary need for cash the need continued since we had a young family.
The Buddy System actually was born out of that very need.
Since Earning Extra Cash was the actual goal I decided to harness my skills to help me earn that extra money.
Now while I am a computer geek my friends had already started calling me “Computer Buddy” BUT I did not want to do this free. So my identity needed to change to “Internet Buddy” or maybe “Online Buddy”. But my full intent was to be more profitable.
So I looked at the existing methods and found one. It is actually promoted by Google and it is called AdSense.
So I started creating websites with special content on them in order to earn money from Google. I essentially became an “AdSense Buddy” which was a good thing.
Listen, it’s not that hard to do this.
Here are the Skills
Like I said, I am a computer guy and not a writer. So I learned that there are many people who do not mind writing and in fact, they have websites themselves where they sell their ability at writing.
I even met a few people that have an eye for graphics so they set themselves up to create graphical images for people’s websites.
Do you like photography? Well you can sell those pictures.
When it comes to salesmanship, did you sell the most when you were in school? Or was it just fun? That ability to sell is quite an asset. I wish I had more of that myself.
My point here is you do not hav to be a computer geek like me to start earning money only!
So being the Buddy that I am means I am an encourager. Just call me a “Marketing Buddy“.
So in this tight and tough economy don’t get discouraged about the lack of part-time jobs. Just look at yourself and I will bet there is something about your abilities where you could do well in this business.
