Google Hates Me – Wanna Know Why?

by Buddy on January 27, 2010 · 0 comments

Because I am lazy. Lazy to the point that I look for the easy links to point back to my websites.

Case in point. Recently, I had about thirty blogger blogs. I added about an article or two a day to them and each article had one or two links on them. The articles were readable and were not spam by any stretch. A few of the articles actually received comments.

I lost them all. All were deleted by Google. No warnings. No emails. They were just deleted.

Here is why.

In my humble opinion, they monitor certain resources of their servers. Within their system is something call XMLRPC. This is an access point for remote systems. In essence, it will allow someone to access the blog remotely and add a post to the blog.

In deed, it is a very cool access point.

The problem is that it is now capable of becoming a link farm within Google’s eyes because there was no human activity.

So rather than allow their own network to become a haven for link farmers they just go through the network with giant pruning shears.

Did I get mad. Not really, I do understand. However, I was using their tools as intended. Because I did not use their GUI seems to label us as link farmers.

So can the system be beat? Sure it can. But just make sure you have thick skin when they delete it so you don’t get too upset. LOL
